Updates Galore

We went to the doctor last week for out check-ups. So, here are the stats:

Bean:
90th percentile for her height and 75th for weight
Maybe we should change her name to String Bean!

Hermie:
50th percentile for his height and weight
but, thanks to daddy, he's in the 90th percentile for his head size (hope they have helmets that big for Pee-Wee Lacrosse!)

They are both chugging along just fine! Somehow, someway I was able to get my children to love fruits and vegetables rather than cakes and cookies! I keep telling people that a Magician NEVER reveals his/her secrets! Hermie is walking along just great, getting his feet under him better each day. He and his sister love to play up in her room, by themselves of course. Whatever they are doing is Top Secret! Playing with Barbies is good for a boy, right?

Bean has been busy looking at toy catalogs and circling things that she wants Santa Claus to bring her on Halloween...yes, you read correctly. She is just starting to understand the whole Holiday thing and since we love Halloween in this house, she is still stuck. She is starting to grasp the difference, but we usually have to correct her every once in a while. So, we have about 4 "magazines" here that have plenty of circles in them, I can mail them to anyone who requests them :)

For those of you who don't know, we are going to the Chicago area over Thanksgiving weekend. My husband's best friend and his wife live in a Suburb outside the city. We are taking a much needed, but short vacation. Of course, those of you who know my husband...he can't go very long without doing something so there will be tools in tow. The people we are visiting recently built a house and he has offered to help them with some of the finish work. I think he likes putting his little stamp of workmanship wherever he can :)

Dinner will be nothing short of fantastic I am sure. Apparently, there will be 3 Turkey's. Yes, you read correctly, 3 Turkey's. One regular, One smoked and One deep fried! I am looking forward to sitting down to a plate of turkey and a plate of sides...I don't know about anyone else! Oh, and a plate of desserts.
